Tyler Perry’s The Have and the Have Nots
Synopsis
The story opens very early in the morning at the home of Grandma, Hattie Mae. She’s allowed her daughter, Rose and husband, Frank to move in with her along with their son, Wally. The family, who has fallen on hard times is alarmed by an early morning phone call. It’s the local bank giving the family three days to pay the mortgage or be evicted. Frank, the man of the house, has been out of a job for months and his wife Rose has been supporting the family as a maid for wealthy real estate giant – Louis Willis.
Frank finally gets a break when a job is offered as a handyman, at the Willis estate. Rose, Frank’s wife, is ecstatic and so is Frank as they will be working together.
One morning while Rose is working, at the ‘big house’, she’s chatting with longtime butler, Floyd, about her husband Frank working with them. This conversation turns hilariously intense as Floyd boldly expresses that it won’t be long before wealthy wife, Diane, will scheme and do whatever she can to get her married paws into Frank.
It soon becomes painfully clear that Floyd’s madness about the wealthy wife is true as Diane goes after Frank the moment she sees him. Rose is appalled at the level Diane will stoop when trying to satisfy her insatiable appetite for strapping young men.
Back at grandma Hattie’s, things are slowly falling apart as she’s consumed with the thought of losing the house she’s been in for thirty years. On top of that, she’s worried about her grandson Wally, whose running the streets at odd hours of the night. After he’s arrested, it becomes painfully clear to his mom Rose, that her son’s street life has turned him into the number one money making drug dealer in the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, at the ‘mansion’, Frank is being victimized and hypnotized by Diane’s sneaky, seductive ways. She learns of his family troubles, and flashes a lot of money in his face in exchange for sexual relations. Frank is suddenly torn between saving his family at the hands of sex-crazed Diane and mulling over a strategy to win back the trust and love from his son who blames him for the family’s entire demise.

It will leave you crying, laughing and wanting a better life for you and for those who may be less fortunate. This show features powerful new music written by Tyler Perry and a cast of extraordinary singers and actors. Palmer Williams, Jr.
In his first Tyler Perry stage production, Palmer was a resounding hit in Tyler Perry’s The Marriage Counselor that was on tour January ’08 through June ’09. You can also see him on Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” as “Floyd”, owner of the barber shop. His achievements thus far are astonishing.
Most children begin their communicative skills by learning to talk, but Palmer Williams Jr. decided that singing was a far more effective tool to use. Music became a constant in his home and studying music became a natural progression. Palmer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health/Hospital Administration from Knoxville College in Tennessee. After graduating from college, Palmer continued his musical career by going on to win several competitions at the world-famous Apollo Theatre in New York. His vocal credits also include singing back ground for R&B sensations Keith Sweat, LSG, and Grammy award winner, Monica. Along with his vocal success, Palmer ventured into the theatre with his stage credit, “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” and the stage play he directed and co-wrote, “Where Have All the Good Men Gone?” Once again, Palmer displays his God-given talents and takes center stage in all his creative prolificness by directing, writing, and starring in the hit, “Can A Woman Make A Man Lose His Mind?” and “What A Man Wants, What A Woman Needs!” He was featured on Robert Townsend’s, “Play House 22” on the Black Family Channel.
“What A Man Wants, What A Woman Needs!” and “For Better or For Worse?” were collaborations of a lifetime with Palmer’s ‘Spiritual Daddy’, Bishop Eddie L. Long. Palmer believes, “The favor of God is no joke! Don’t take Him for one!”

Patrice Lovely-Mokgotho’s style and captivating antics of her distinctive character, simply charm audiences across the nation. This enchanting and well accomplished actress is definitely no stranger to the entertainment spotlight.
The talented Alabama native has shared the stage with Kelly Price, Glen Jones, Lenny Williams, Tommy Ford, and the late Gerald Levert … in various numerous stage productions including, “A Good Man is Hard to Find”, “When a Woman’s Fed Up”, “The Blacker the Berry, the Sweeter the Juice”, “Where Have all the Good Men Gone?”, “Lord, Why Do I Keep Choosing the Wrong Man”, “Stranger in My House”, “Confessions”, and “Marriage Material”.
Patrice Lovely is also a highly acclaimed vocalist who has been featured on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). Her powerful and stunning voice has led her to record two gospel albums, “Glory Road” and “Seven Days”.
For the past three years, Patrice’s talents have been dedicated to making young people smile all over the world as the hilarious, original and exceptional character known as “Mabelle” which is the first and only character of its kind to hit the stage. As part of the creative team with the UniverSoul Circus, this multi-talented artist made history by achieving the title as the first “African American” female Ring Master in the world.
Maurice has one of the most soulful and distinctive voices in gospel music today. His love for music dates back to his childhood, and as a teenager was enrolled in the Fiorello LaGuardia School of Music & Art & Performing Arts and received training necessary to enhance his vocals. Maurice has been involved with a myriad of productions and recordings. His broad vocal range and acting abilities have touched audiences throughout the U.S. and abroad. His credits include recurring roles as “Big Fella” on “The Cosby Show” and cameo appearances on “Good Morning America”, “Law & Order”, and “The Sopranos”. His stage credits and tours include featured roles in Tyler Perry’s “A Madea’s Christmas” and “Aunt Bam’s Place” on dvd, Martin Luther King in “If This Hat Could Talk”, “Your Arms Too Short To Box With God”, and “The Wiz”. Maurice has been privileged to perform and record with such greats as Carly Simon , Bebe and Cece Winans, Vanessa Williams, Clay Aiken, and Michael Jackson to name a few.
