Maurice C. Lauchner
Maurice Lauchner has one of the most soulful and distinctive voices in gospel music today. His love for music dates back to his childhood, and as a teenager was enrolled in the Fiorello LaGuardia School of Music & Art & Performing Arts and received training necessary to enhance his vocals. Maurice has been involved with a myriad of productions and recordings. His broad vocal range and acting abilities have touched audiences throughout the U.S. and abroad. His credits include recurring roles as “Big Fella” on “The Cosby Show” and cameo appearances on “Good Morning America”, “Law & Order”, and “The Sopranos”. His stage credits and tours include featured roles in Tyler Perry’s “A Madea’s Christmas” and “Aunt Bam’s Place” on dvd, Martin Luther King in “If This Hat Could Talk”, “Your Arms Too Short To Box With God”, and “The Wiz”. Maurice has been privileged to perform and record with such greats as Carly Simon , Bebe and Cece Winans, Vanessa Williams, Clay Aiken, and Michael Jackson to name a few.
